Wedding Jewellery Tips

Most people want to wear something a bit special on their wedding day, normally something girly and sparkly. The trouble is that people often buy jewellery that they wouldn’t normally wear so after the wedding they don’t know what to do with it. Here are a few tips for getting the most out of your wedding jewellery;
1. It’s your big day and you want to splash out and be extravagant. However try to buy a piece of jewellery you love and that you will wear again. Even if it’s not a piece you will not wear everyday, then at least you can wear it on special occasions and to parties. 2. Don’t buy anything too high fashion or that is going to date quickly, particularly if you have a classic dress.
3. Try not to buy anything really sparkly it will cause a flash back on your wedding photos. Swarovski crystal is a good choice as though it is sparkly it is often teamed with other materials which reflect the colours in it,
4. If you have got a lot of embellishment on your dress then go for simple jewellery that doesn’t detract from the detailing on the dress.
5. Simple rule – if you are planning to wear your hair up and away from your face make the earrings the focus. If you are wearing your hair down make the necklace your focus.
6. Never wear large earrings and a large necklace together.
7. Try not to wear too much jewellery – it should be worn to enhance your outfit not over shadow it.
